Abbotsford Chamber to host Virtual Provincial Election Local All-Candidate Meetings
The Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce together with the Fraser Valley Real Estate Board and the Fraser Valley Indo-Canadian Business Association will be hosting three All-Candidate Meetings, one for each of the local Provincial ridings. The meetings will take place as follows:
- Abbotsford Mission held on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
- Abbotsford West held on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm
- Abbotsford South held on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm

“We are looking forward to providing focused discussions on the business issues that matter to our members and community.” said Chamber President Melinda Friesen. Candidates will be questioned by a panel representing businesses in the local area. “This opportunity enables us to meet the candidates, get engaged in the democratic process and evaluate their responses,” added Friesen.
Prior to the meetings the Chamber will be sending the candidates a set of pre-submitted questions. Through the virtual platform participants will also be able to submit questions live via the moderator. The debates with questions and candidates responses will be streamed live on Facebook, recorded and posted on the Chamber website at www.abbotsfordchamber.com following the events.
