Abbotsford Business Excellence Awards 2020 celebrates the best in business
Awards recognize outstanding organizations and individuals that strive for excellence in the community
December 3, 2020 Abbotsford, B.C. – The Abbotsford Business Excellence Awards presented by the Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Abbotsford News officially launched the Abbotsford Business Excellence Awards 2020.
The four awards categories: Innovation Excellence, Community Contribution, Frontline Excellence and Outstanding Support focused on innovation and resilience in an unprecedented year. While the award show has traditionally been showcased in person in front of over 500 business people across all sectors, this year’s awards were recognized through communications and media features. Nominees have been profiled in recent days leading to the award winners announcement.
The award recipients were announced today through a video on the Black Press TV Channel, an online news story and through the Abbotsford News e-edition as well as social media communications by both partners. There will be ongoing recognition in the month of December.

Innovation Excellence:
Sponsored by RBC Royal Bank, the Innovation Excellence Award is dedicated for the business which has pivoted their production and or developed new business, products or services to businesses or consumers in an innovative way to meet unique demands during the COVID-19 crisis.
The Award recipient for Innovation Excellence 2020: Ravens Brewing Company
Community Contribution:
Sponsored by Blackwood Building Centre, the Community Contribution Award is awarded to a business or organization that has developed new programming to either other businesses or clients in need during the COVID-19 crisis in support of the community.
The Award recipient for Community Contribution 2020: Zone Garage Fraser Valley
Frontline Excellence:
Sponsored by Baker Newby LLP, the Frontline Excellence Award is for a business or entrepreneur who has gone above and beyond in the provision of frontline products or services to meet the unique demands created by COVID-19. This individual or business will have shown leadership in the development of new strategies to serve and meet the needs of the community.
The Award recipient for Frontline Excellence 2020: Patna Sweet and Restaurants
Outstanding Support:
Sponsored by MNP LLP, the Outstanding Support Award is awarded to a business who has shown exemplary responses to the COVID-19 crisis to ensure the well-being of their employees, customers, and community. This award recognizes an organization that demonstrates awareness and responsibility for the impacts of its employees and encourages healthy wellness practices. The recipient’s priority is the safety and well-being of those they work with and service including their customers, employees, suppliers, and partners.
